The last week I spent in Albuquerque was bitter sweet. As the days came closer to us leaving, the reality set in that "Wow! I am moving out of the country far, far away." I found myself really starting to struggle. I realized all these emotions I was feeling were new. I had never felt this way before. I was crying and felt so heavy in my heart.
How Mexico!
We got back to Albuquerque and the American chaos - but with a profound sense of renewed hope. WE ARE MOVING OUT OF THE COUNTRY - to Chelem, Yucatan Mexico!!!
Why Mexico?
About 2 ½ years ago, Sean and I started having dreams about moving out of the country – something just called to us about wanting to create a difference experience; to experience life in a deeply cultural way and more comfortably. We knew we wanted to live by a beach, somewhere we could actually live a comfortable and simplified lifestyle where values are deep and without the expectation of “Keeping up with the Jones”. The “American Dream” was not our dream: being in debt, struggling, rampant materialism, stress and separation. So, we began to have serious discussions and laid out a 10-year goal. We started looking into Belize and were going to plan a trip down there, BUT…
